Arctiin is a naturally derived active extracted from the fruit of the Burdock plant. It stimulates the repair of weakened connective tissue in the cell walls. Arctiin also accelerates the collagen renewal process in skin cells which slows dramatically as we age. It is used in the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity range to improve elasticity and firmness in mature skin.
Hyaluronic Acid is formed by skin cells and is part of the connective tissue of the skin. One of its key functions is to retain moisture, and it has the ability to bind in between 1,000 and 10,000 times its own weight in water (i.e. one gram binds between one and ten liters). As we age, the skin's natural ability to produce Hyaluronic Acid depletes and wrinkles start to form and deepen.
Thiamidol is a Eucerin patented ingredient. Ten years in development, this highly effective active is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark spots and prevent their re-appearance.
Argan Oil (also known as Argania Spinosa kernel oil) is oil expressed from the kernels of the argan tree. It contains up to 80% essential fatty acids (Omega-9 and Omega-6). The body uses fatty acids to produce and repair cell membranes and strengthen skin so it is able to perform its vital function of protecting the body. Argan Oil is also rich in Vitamin E (a powerful anti-oxidant), has anti-inflammatory properties and makes skin smoother and softer.
Creatine, a skin’s own amino acid derivative, is produced from the amino acids arginine, glycine and methionine in the kidney, liver and pancreas and is mostly stored in muscle cells. As the endogenous creatine synthesis is not sufficient, creatine needs to be supplemented with the diet. Creatine acts as an energy buffer and supports the mitochondrial respiration system during times of increased energy demand: muscle cells store energy in the form of Creatine Phosphate and it is transported to tissue with high energy demands such as hair follicles.
Furthermore, Creatine activates cells to produce skin’s own collagen and elastin (in vitrodata) as these biomolecules are impaired in aged skin.
How do I know if Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity is the right anti-aging range for me?
The Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity range has been specially formulated for mature skin and for those whose primary concerns are deep wrinkles and a lack of elasticity. While our skin is as individual as we are, and skin ages differently depending on our genetics and lifestyle, these concerns are normally experienced by those who are 50+. The products work together to plump up deep wrinkles and improve skin’s elasticity. Skin feels firm and looks fresh and radiant.
If you’re more concerned by earlier stage lines and wrinkles then you might like to try the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler range.
If sagging skin and a loss of volume and facial contours are your primary concerns (as is often the case for women between approximately 40 and 50), try the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Volume-Lift range which has been specially formulated to plump up deep wrinkles and redefine facial contours for a lifting effect

At what age should I start using Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity?
Our skin is as different as we are, so the answer to that question varies from person to person and depends on many factors both internal (such as our genetics) and external (such as the amount of sun our skin has been exposed to). As a general rule, the first signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles start to appear in our 30s and the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler range targets these concerns. By our 40s, most of us are experiencing sagging skin and a loss of volume and facial contours and benefit from products such as those in the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Volume-Lift range. It tends to be when we are 50 and over that skin elasticity needs the support that the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity range offers.
If you are in any doubt please read our article on skin in different ages or consult a pharmacist or dermatologist.
Why do I need a night cream?
Skin regenerates overnight. As well as moisturising skin, night creams contain ingredients that stimulate the cell regeneration process. In Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity Night that ingredient is Argan Oil. Rich in skin-caring lipids, Argan Oil nourishes mature skin and supports overnight regeneration.
